When Grote Industries appears at the American Trucking Association’s annual convention in Austin this weekend, the company will demonstrate the first-of-its-kind rear-view camera in partnership with Stoneridge Inc.
This is the latest upgrade to its 4SEE Smart Trailer System.
Visitors to the Grote Industries booth will be able to interact with the wired rear-view camera that is now in production. The company said this system is the first wired rear-view camera connected through the standard J560 7-way connector to enable video from the back of the trailer directly to a video display in the cab, with virtually no latency.
Grote said the 4SEE is part of a long legacy of innovations since the company’s founding in 1901, and recently it was recognized with the Innovation Excellence Award by the Indiana Manufacturers Association for both its history of innovations and the launch of its in4SEE Smart Trailer System.
“Innovation is part of our DNA,” said Dominic Grote, CEO and president. “And since safety is a key tenet of our vision, applying that skill to designing a system that improves safety for both fleets and everyone on the road is a natural outcome for us. I’m proud of the work our team does every day to innovate and to live our mission, vision and values.”
