Horizon Global, and its OEM division Horizon Automotive, will be sponsoring the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. This is the third consecutive year that Horizon will be participating as a sponsor.
“Over the years, this event has helped support and beautify the city of Detroit in many ways, thanks to the millions of dollars in revenue generated by this premier event. It’s an honor and a privilege to be connected with this event,” said Carl Bizon, interim CEO of Horizon Global.
Horizon Automotive will have visible branding on the crosswalk leading to the island and also in its chalet located on the front stretch, where the company will host customers and others in the auto industry during the three-day event. This year, Horizon Global is also a sponsor of Team Penske and the #22 IndyCar, driven by Simon Pagenaud.
“Taking part in the annual event, held each year on Belle Isle, enables the Horizon team to engage with other companies based in the Metro Detroit area and community members who purchase vehicles with our OEM products,” said James Tindell, interim president of Horizon Global Americas. “Horizon’s partnership with Team Penske increases the exposure for our brands and products to the Detroit community and the global Grand Prix viewing audience.”
This year’s race takes place at 7:30 a.m. ET from June 1 to 3.
