Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers announced Laurel Judkins has been named executive vice president of external engagement for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). Judkins most recently served as director of global communications operations for Cummins, Inc.
“Laurel is a transformative leader with a well-established track record of achievement who will round out the strengths of the IEDC’s leadership team,” said Chambers. “Her experience, business acumen and leadership will be invaluable as we continue raising Indiana’s profile as a premier destination for business and top talent.”
In her role, Judkins will report to Sec. Chambers and will oversee marketing, brand, communications and a reimagined data and analytics division.
Judkins joins the IEDC with nearly 20 years of combined public and private sector experience in law, marketing and communications. Most recently, she led global teams at Cummins dedicated to the company’s brand, digital marketing and executive communications.
Judkins served on the boards of multiple civic and nonprofit organizations, including Employ Indy’s Workforce Investment Board and Growing Places Indy. She has been recognized as a Forty Under 40 leader by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
