Auburn, Calif.-based InterMotive Vehicle Controls, a leading manufacturer of electronic control systems, has enhanced its Aftermarket Interface Module (AIM) with a new integrated security feature. AIM now provides the ability to lock/unlock auxiliary doors and cabinets using the OEM key fob, increasing security for work trucks, ambulances and other specialty vehicles.
AIM is a programmable power relay unit used to control and/or activate equipment while optimizing vehicle performance. The system offers eight CAN data multi-level high/low true outputs used to drive external loads and a high idle feature to increase electrical and mechanical vehicle operation.
The company said the new locking feature complements the already robust product, simplifying security measures and saving time for users. The system is installed using an innovative plug-and-play connection to the vehicle without cutting into OEM wires. AIM is currently available from builders, upfitters, dealers and InterMotive’s master distributer, LGS Group.
