Jayco will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of its Twin Falls, Idaho, campus for its new production facility on Thursday, Feb. 8. The ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Jayco’s Twin Falls location, 511 Hankins Road South.
“Our decision to expand our Twin Falls location was solidified due to the support from our partners at the Idaho Department of Commerce, City of Twin Falls and the Twin Falls County Commissioners,” said Matt Thompson, COO for Jayco. “We’re thrilled to break ground on an exciting new chapter that will help us continue to support our customer base in Idaho, surrounding states and Canada.”
The expansion will improve service to dealers in the western U.S. and Canada, and grow the manufacturing footprint Jayco has built over the past 12 years in Idaho.
“Jayco’s decision to expand in Idaho is a testament to what makes our state a great place to do business,” said Brad Little, Idaho lieutenant governor. “Our teams at the local and state level are dedicated to giving companies like Jayco the best possible environment to continue to grow in Idaho and expand their customer base and workforce.”
Jayco will build the 235,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on its campus, which is expected to bring approximately 300 jobs to the region in mid-2018. Jayco is actively seeking qualified job applicants and will partner with the College of Southern Idaho’s Workforce Training Program to assist with on-boarding of new employees.
“After more than a decade in Twin Falls, it is an honor to celebrate Jayco’s success and the partnership we have cultivated since 2005,” said Don Hall, Twin Falls County Commissioner. “Not only will the expansion bring more jobs for our region’s hardworking professionals but will continue to support the quality craftsmanship that helps build these recreation trailers right here in our community.”
