The Jayco family of companies held its fourth annual Boys & Girls Club RV Day event on Wednesday, June 14, in coordination with parent company THOR Industries. More than 120 club members explored multiple different RV-related stations which incorporated a wide variety of activities, including campfire safety lessons from the Middlebury Fire Department. The event was held at the Boys & Girls Club of Middlebury, Indiana, and allowed for the children to get an inside look at the joys RVs and the RV lifestyle can offer.
The day consisted of seven different RV-related stations set up for the members to enjoy, with tours of different towable and motorized units, an obstacle course, pictures with Jayco’s mascot J Jay, and more. The activities wrapped up with Kona Ice and a screening of a camping kids classic, Yogi Bear.
“RV Day is something that we look forward to every year because it’s a time that helps show our youth the support that the people in our community have for them and opens their eyes to some pretty exciting things that are made right in their own backyard,” said Erin McNeal, area director of the Boys & Girls Club of Middlebury. “A lot of our youth have family members that work in the manufacturing industry, but not all of them get the chance to see the units up close and ask questions about them. It really is a great way to bring fun, education, and community support directly to the youth.”
Plans are already in the works by Jayco and THOR for the 2024 Boys & Girls Club of Middlebury RV Day.
