Twin Falls County, Idaho, will give Jayco Inc. a partial five-year tax deferral on its increased property value, county commissioners announced Thursday.
The county will waive 100 percent of the first two years, Commissioner Terry Kramer said, followed by a 90 percent reduction in the third year, an 80 percent reduction in the fourth year, and a 70 percent reduction in the fifth year, MagicValley.com reported.
Under Idaho law, counties are allowed to grant a property tax exemption for a specific industrial project for up to five years.
The expansion of the Jayco plant, which broke ground in February, will include a new 248,000 square-foot production building. The company also hopes to add at least 300 new employees, more than doubling its current workforce.
