Jayco launched its all-new 4×4 Terrain, built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. This Class B features on-demand four-wheel-drive that allows for the freedom of off-road adventures. The interior offers luxurious appointments to provide all the comforts of home, the company said, and its 48-volt lithium power system offers true off-grid performance.

The Terrain’s standard chassis and exterior component equipment is exceptional, Jayco said, most notably the exclusive JRIDE ride and handling package, featuring Koni shocks and heavy-duty rear stabilizer bar, 48-volt Coleman-Mach 10 Air Conditioner, a 220-amp alternator, black aluminum wheels with All Terrain BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires, Carefree armless power patio awning with LED light strip and wind sensor, on-board air compressor with front and rear chucks, and a double roof rack with a moveable ladder.

The interior provides high-end features including Tecnoform European-style cabinetry, hydronic heating system with LED touchscreen control, JAYCOMMAND multiplex system powered by Firefly, a portable induction cooktop and a 3-cubic-foot DC refrigerator.

The optimized off-grid power system includes a 48-volt, 210 amp-hour smart lithium battery providing 10.2 kilowatts of power, a 3500-watt inverter, a second 48-volt Alternator dedicated to the lithium battery and 200 watts of roof-mounted solar panels.

“We feel our team really knocked it out of the park on this one. Our partnership with Tecnoform allowed us to create a van with a unique look not found anywhere else,” said Ryan Eash, director of product development for the Jayco motorized group. “The van also comes equipped with a lithium package that gives it true ‘off the grid’ capabilities which in this space we felt was a must have.”

The new Jayco Terrain MSRP starts at $192,000 and is offered in two optional paint schemes: Aztec partial paint and Forest Glade partial paint.
