Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts recently reported that its second quarter revenue was up 11.9 percent, while year-to-date revenue jumped 15.5 percent, compared to the last year’s figures.
“These increases are important because they show significant growth over our 2017 figures, which set previous company records. So, we are well on track to set all time revenue and occupancy highs for Jellystone Parks across the U.S. and Canada,” said Kelly Jones, VP of operations for Leisure Systems, Inc., which franchises Jellystone Parks across North America.
While overall revenues for 83 parks, including new parks in the Jellystone Park system, were up 16.4 percent through June, same park revenues were up 15.5 percent. Rental accommodation revenues were up 10 percent while campground store revenues were up 16.3 percent. Ancillary revenues, such as revenues from special activities, rental equipment and day use fees, were up 5.4 percent.
Campground operators and entrepreneurs who are interested in owning and operating a Jellystone Park are invited to attend the company’s Prospective Owner’s Workshop, which takes place Sept. 15-16. Details can be found at www.jellystonefranchise.com/workshop.
