Keystone RV is introducing a super light product line of its Acadia brand, marking phase two of the rollout of that brand.
Arcadia Super Lite begins production this week with four new floorplans that range from 28 feet to 34 feet and are being manufactured at weights well within the towing capacity of most half-ton pickup trucks.
“In recent years, RV manufacturers have become rather generous with ‘half-ton’ weights,” said Product Manager Colin Clark. “Based on the interest in Arcadia we’ve seen with both new RV buyers and owners who are moving into the brand from motorized RVs, we saw an opportunity to significantly expand our market by manufacturing a product line has all of Arcadia’s panache in floorplans that are truly half-ton towable.”
Clark, who also heads the company’s Raptor toy hauler brand, has been tapped to be Arcadia’s new product manager. This is one of several personnel moves Keystone made that demonstrates the company’s commitment to Arcadia.
Sam Lengerich, the creative force behind Keystone’s Montana brand, will now lead Arcadia product design and development. The two will be joined by an all-star sales team, including Jeff Rank, Dustin Tavernier and Brodie Delcamp.
“With four of the top ten brands, Keystone continues to dominate the fifth wheel category. We expect Arcadia to be a big part of the company’s future and couldn’t be more excited about the horsepower we’re adding to that team,” said Josh Miller, vice president of sales.
Like Arcadia’s full-size floorplans, Super Lite models are engineered to feel more open and expansive than traditional RVs, incorporating a unique front cap and LCI’s Space Saver upper deck chassis design. Arcadia Super-Lite is designed to take advantage of a sweet spot in the market. The company said models will weigh hundreds of pounds less than competitors in this class, have more features and offer extremely aggressive pricing.
New Arcadia models are now shipping and will be on display at both the Hershey RV Show and THOR’s Dealer Open House.
