Keystone’s New Single-Axle Highlights Smaller Unit Trend

Keystone RV

The following is report from Auto Evolution.

Keystone RV has always been known for building some of America’s largest travel trailers, toy haulers and massive fifth wheels. But 2025 is seeing a shift in the way this crew does things: They’re looking to meet the needs of as many people as possible, and the all-new Reign is the unit to do it.

Ladies and gents, before us stands the one and only Reign from Keystone RV, one of America’s most beloved manufacturers, and while this brand has always been known for crafting some of the largest units we see in parks across the U.S., the Reign is a unit that brings the magic of Keystone in a more bite-sized package. This does NOT, however, mean a less capable and affordable unit; these Keystone traits are still in play.

Now, kicking things off for this unit, we need to consider that it’s a single-axle setup designed to accommodate up to four guests, depending on the floor plan and features. The one pictured in the video below is the 15RB, which sleeps only 3 as standard, but with an optional flip-up bunk, four guests can use this layout.

As for the other new unit, the 18RB, it can house up to four sleepy guests made possible by a Murphy bed over the couch and bunk beds on a slideout. Yes, these new units also come equipped with slideouts to maximize the interior living space, except for the 15RB.

Some dealer stock layouts also exist, and one in particular, the 1700BH, can accommodate up to five guests and funny enough, it comes in with the least expensive MSRP Keystone advertises on their website; it’s selling for a starting price of $24,308.

But, the video below shows us a price that’s even lower than that, and it’s for the 15RB. While Keystone advertises a starting price of $30,720 for this unit, the one being sold in the flick is advertised as selling for $22,995 through Meyer’s RV. That’s a price that’s sure to be grabbing a whole lot of attention.

At this stage, most people’s interest would clearly be sparked, but some of us are sure to question the quality of a four-person camper selling for no more than $23K. Well, starting us off on the quality side of things, take note that the Reign lineup is created with an enclosed and heated underbelly, perfect for venturing into the colder months, and the outer skin of these babies is made of metal. I’m going to guess and say we’re looking at an aluminum skin.

Part of the exterior’s makeup also includes: A fully walkable roof, back-up camera prep, power awning as standard, storage bays, tongue LP gas box, and space for more storage. Even an exterior shower with hot and cold water. But the real magic of this unit is to be witnessed the moment you finally pull into some trailer park or the middle of nowhere. If you do plan to take this puppy into the wild, be sure to stick to light unpaved roads that can be handled by a torsion suspension.
