Lagoon Ranch Luxury RV & Cabin Resort in Onalaska received a Park of the Year Award from the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) in the large park category for campgrounds with more than 125 sites.
The award was presented April 21 during TACO’s annual Spring Meeting and Convention at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center, which draws hundreds of campground and RV park operators from across the Lone Star State.
Lagoon Ranch opened in April 2025 with 194 RV sites and 24 custom cabins. The resort has 1,000 feet of waterfront along Lake Livingston as well as a 180,000-gallon lagoon-style swimming pool with a swim up bar, hot tub and expansive lounge areas, which complement the Lil’ Lagoon splash and play area for children.
“There’s also a large LED screen that creates a lively hub for sports watch parties, dive-in movies, and special events,” said Erin Forrest, corporate director of sales and marketing for CRR Hospitality, which owns and operates the resort.
Other attractions include a group pavilion with a basketball hoop and pickleball area, a fitness center, and a dog park. The resort’s on-site restaurant, Pit Row Pit Stop on the Lake, is open to both resort guests and the public, offering Texas barbecue favorites, casual fare, and a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. The lakeside setting enhances the experience, offering guests the opportunity to dine, unwind, and enjoy the scenery without ever leaving the resort.
