On Tuesday, June 25, the RV Industry Association (RVIA) will host an informative webinar on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) latest rulemaking regarding PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), featuring experts Adam Troutwine and Jake Levin from the association’s federal lobbying firm Polsinelli.
The webinar takes place 3-4 p.m. Eastern. Register here.
In October 2023, the EPA finalized two rules pertaining to PFAS, commonly referred to as “forever chemicals,” which requires broad recordkeeping and reporting requirements to the federal government. Companies are responsible for these requirements for manufacturing OR importing products with PFAS going back to Jan. 1, 2011. This reporting is due summer of 2025. PFAS can be found in many innocuous items found in an RV including, but not limited to carpets/rugs, upholstery, fabric treatments, cleaning products and adhesives.

During the June 25 webinar, experts Troutwine and Levin will cover a brief overview of new PFAS Rulemakings; important deadline and information on new PFAS rulemakings relating to the RV industry and how to comply; potential rulemakings to come; and draft risk evaluation.
