A Florida-based RV dealer is coasting into one of Southwest Murfreesboro’s fastest growing business areas, a 160-acre commercial subdivision named West Point.

Tennessee’s Murfreesboro Planning Commission approved a preliminary plat for a new industrial lot located along Beasie Road off New Salem Highway at Interstate 24.
That 25-acre lot will house Lazydays RV, said local real estate agent John Harney, who represents West Point developer Charles B. Mitchell Jr. of Brentwood. This will be the eighth location for the publicly traded retail and service company whose closest current location is in Knoxville.
The creation of the plat will allow for the extension of Beasie Road to the north, Murfreesboro Planning Director Donald Anthony said.
Lazydays plans to close on the land in the fall and plans to immediately start construction, Harney said. It wants to build a 40,000- to 50,000-square-foot showroom and service center.
West Point is busily developing additional businesses.
A RaceTrac gas station is under construction as is a shooting range/retail store by Murfreesboro Armory and The Outpost Armory, Harney said. The rest of the projects have not been publicly named.
