In the absence of the Maryland RV Show this year, Beckley’s RVs of Thurmont, Md., decided to take matters into its own hands.
The business hosted its own sale and took an additional, charitable step. Beckley’s donated $100 from each sale to local youth mentorship organization I Believe in Me Inc. in an effort to “support local,” especially given the difficulty of the past year, company representatives said.
Over the course of the 11-day sale, 107 RVs were sold, meaning $10,700 went to I Believe in Me.
“Through some networking with people that we know in the community and the Downtown Partnership, we looked at a few different options and really liked what I Believe in Me is doing,” said Dan Zboyan, a sales manager at Beckley’s. “(We) certainly wanted to try to give back to the community, as they are spending a lot of time and effort putting back into people that have been affected by the COVID virus.”

Zboyan said he hopes the funds help I Believe in Me continue its local food drive efforts and giving back to the community.
