A Mini RV Rental School will be offered as a two-part session and is open to all dealership personnel attending the 2018 RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Paris Las Vegas on Nov. 6.
Part one is designed for dealers who are interested in exploring or re-entering the RV rental business. Part two is dedicated to dealers already in the rental business and who are looking for specific “next steps” to reach the million-dollar plateau in rental income.
The Mini Rental School is sponsored by the RV Rental Association (RVRA) in partnership with MBA Insurance.
“Your Rental Department: RVing for the Other 76 Million Households” and “Three Easy Steps to a $1,000,000 Rental Department” will feature rental experts who will share the steps that rental dealers follow daily to use people, dealership processes, and available products to create and expand on a successful operation.
Convention registration is available for RVDA members at the discounted early bird registration rate through June 30.
Presenters of the Mini Rental School include:
- Martin Onken, president of Expedition Motor Homes in southern California. In addition to owning and managing two dealerships for the past 19 years, he also trains and consults third parties to open and operate successful RV rental dealerships and departments.
- Scott Krenek, owner of Krenek RV Center in Coloma, Mich., has an extensive background in the RV rental business, especially in towables, and is chairman of the RV Rental Association.
- Leslie Pujo, Esq., practices vehicle and rental law at Plave Koch PLC. She counsels on vehicle rental regulatory compliance and rental agreements for operators of all sizes and types, including local, airport, franchised, and car sharing operations.
In addition to the Mini Rental School there will be three rental-specific educational workshops on Wednesday of the Expo: “RV Rental Law 5.0: Top Ten Ways to Stay Legally Compliant While Adapting to Changes in the Marketplace and Technology,” “The Check-Out and Check-In: The Birth and Death Moments of Every RV Rental Company,” and “Profitable RV Rentals: Jumping the Grand Canyon to Success.”
