Mobile Mattress is a new Nashville, Tenn.-based company serving the RV and trucking industries. It was launched by two brothers, Marty and Trey Southerland, who are third-generation mattress manufacturers who were formerly associated with their family’s mattress business formed in 1929.
The idea for Mobile Mattress was formed initially as a solution for semi-truck drivers that would complain about the comfort of their cab mattress, the brothers say, which coincided with Marty’s purchase of an RV trailer. He and his wife were totally dissatisfied with the bedding and knew then that the solution would be in developing quality bedding for mobile vehicles.
The company’s new website will allow customers to buy direct bedding for motorhomes, RVs, travel trailers and semi-truck sleepers. Options now available are a 10-inch Road Dreams Gel Cooling Memory Foam mattress, currently on sale for the launch of the company, or a 6.5-inch Sleep Express Memory Foam mattress.
Co-owner and President Marty Southerland said, “Our mission is to improve your sleeping experience no matter where you are and hope our products can positively influence your life. We have been in the mattress business a combined 65 years and noticed the need for a higher-grade mattress for the mobile market. We want to improve your sleep in your ’home away from home.’”
