Many kids helped by the Make-A-Wish Foundation wish to meet a celebrity or take a trip to Disneyland or Disney World, but one Fairmont (W.V.) girl’s wish was to simply have a camper that she and her family could enjoy and make memories with.
One Lewis County business was happy to help.
Mountaineer RV and Outdoor Center in Weston, W.V. teamed with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make 10-year-old Evelyn Sanson’s dream a reality. Fulfilling her wish wasn’t easy, however, as pop-up style campers have recently been in short supply.
“Make-A-Wish contacted us a few months ago, and their wish recipient was looking for a specific camper, which was the pop-up, and we didn’t have any at the time,” Mountaineer RV owner Joe Starett said.
Determined to help, Starett was able to finally procure some.
“So, when I got a load of three in, I contacted Make-A-Wish, with the options, and the family chose, and we went from there,” Starett said.
