Namsung America announced that it has been named a Consumer Electronics Show 2021 Innovation Awards Honoree for its Utilimedic UV8LED In-Car Phone Sanitizer with wired and wireless charging. The announcement was made ahead of the first-ever, all-digital CES 2021, which takes place Jan. 11-14, 2021.
The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across 28 product categories. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic and design.
Designed for those on the go and for day-to-day cleaning of objects, the Utilimedic UV8LED In-Car Phone Sanitizer features five-minute sanitizing that eliminates up to 99.9 percent of germs and bacteria at the DNA level. Eight carefully positioned high-power broad-beam UV-C LED’s provide 360-degree sanitization to all sides of the phone. It was specifically designed for use in vehicles, the company said.
