Maxxsonics announced its all-new for 2024 MB Quart Discus line of speakers with inverted dome tweeter technology.
The speakers’ improved tweeters brighten highs and steady mids, and are an overall upgrade to your MB Quart audio system, the company said in a release Tuesday.
Features include aluminum inverted dome tweeters, butyl rubber surrounds, lightweight thermal-formed polypropylene cones, copper voice coil with a thin extrusion, and a ferrite magnet motor. The cone/surround connection also uses a high-temperature adhesive, to ensure they do not separate in high power uses or extreme weather.
Alden Stiefel, president of Maxxsonics, said, “Discus is back, and we are very excited for the inverted tweeter technology to bring out more detail in audio. The MB Quart Discus line of speakers has many options to choose from, including a 6.5-inch component car speaker system, the DS2-216 offering incredible clarity and detail to audio. Brighter highs within detailed trebles are about to transform to another level with this line of Discus speakers.”
