NRVTA Names New Student Adviser

The National RV Training Academy’s (NRVTA) newest student advisor is Karen Searcy, a former Dallas resident who formerly worked as a senior living adviser helping older people retain their independence. She said when she decided to shift careers, the one thing she wanted to continue from her old job was helping people. Now, she’ll be helping (mostly) younger people jump into careers as certified RV technicians and inspectors.

Searcy

A mother of four adult sons, Searcy and her family are longtime RVers, taking as many trips as they can find time for. After moving to Athens, Texas, they needed repairs to their RV and discovered the NRVTA, which drew her to apply for the job.

“I feel like I belong here and am aligned with the company’s mission to train successful business owners,” said Searcy. “I want to be a part of the school’s growth and watch students I enroll do what they love and to be successful as well. Mobile RV technicians and inspectors are so hard to find, and the need is strong.

“By attending NRVTA, people are making a small investment in themselves with great reward. I enjoy working through obstacles and helping people focus on their vision of what life can be like on the other side of training.”

“Karen has a real heart for helping people, and it shows in the way she interacts with prospective students by encouraging them to dream big,” said Tony Flammia, NRVTA’s director of sales and marketing. “As a mother of four adult sons, she understands how advanced training can open doors to a better income and more purposeful life.”
