RVDA issued a statement acknowledging the recent passing of Paul Skogebo, a member of the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
The RV Dealers Association (RVDA) regrets to inform its membership that Paul Skogebo, of Robert Crist and Co., passed away on Nov. 7 in Mesa, Ariz.
Skogebo was born in Owatonna, Minn. He learned the RV business from his father, who owned and operated multiple RV lots all over Minnesota. In 1959, he became a top Airstream salesman for Ted Lund in the southern part of the state. A chance vacation to Arizona in 1962 landed him at Robert Crist and Co., where he would serve as president for 58 years.
Guiding the company through multiple gas crunches and recessions while constantly growing the business, Skogebo built multiple RV and manufactured housing parks, founded the REDEX buying group (now Priority RV Network) and served as the group’s president for 10 years. In 2007, Paul was inducted into the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
RVDA said funeral and memorial information is pending.
