Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) President Kent Ebersole released the following statement celebrating the introduction of the “America the Beautiful Act” by U.S. Sens. Steve Daines of Montana, Angus King of Maine, Kevin Cramer of North Dakota and Mark Warner of Virginia. The bipartisan bill would reauthorize the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF) and increase funding for public land management.
“Record numbers of Americans are visiting our public lands each year, and we have a duty to the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts to ensure we leave these places better than we found them,” said Ebersole. “OIA and its members applaud this bipartisan effort by Senators King, Daines, Cramer, and Warner to reauthorize the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund and take care of the infrastructure backlog across our public lands. There is no better return on investment than protecting these places that Americans have treasured for generations.”
