La Grande, Oregon-based RV manufacturer, Outdoors RV Manufacturing (ORV) has announced RV industry veteran Darin Nelson is retiring. Nelson is winding up his 29-year career as the sales manager at ORV, the company said. He has been an influential presence at Outdoors RV since its inception in 2009, the company said, and over the past 12 years, Nelson helped form and oversee the diverse and robust ORV dealer network.
Nelson began his career with Fleetwood before becoming a key player in the management team that helped form Outdoors RV Manufacturing. Nelson has been consistently instrumental in developing all product lines, their content and how they have been marketed.
“Darin is and always has been a tremendous member of the ORV Team,” said Donald Cochran, chief sales officer at Outdoors RV. “We will absolutely miss his depth of experience and input for what a well-featured, ‘Mountain Tough’ RV can and should be. Even more importantly, we will all miss our daily interactions with Darin as he is a genuinely good person who always brings boundless enthusiasm and good cheer to everyone around him. One of Darin’s greatest strengths is his ability to build and maintain genuine, long-lasting relationships in both his professional and personal life. We wish him all the best in retirement.”
