Parallax Power Supply has hired Jeff McCoy as its director of training and education. While this will be his focus, McCoy will also be involved with improving manufacturing processes and supply chains.
McCoy has 40-plus years in the electrical industry along with 30-plus years in RV component design. He began his career in 1986 with BW Manufacturer which then was sold to Magnetek. Magnetek was later purchased by Connecticut Electric before Parallax Group Inc. was acquired as a stand-alone company purchased by Joe Brandon in July 2016. Having been involved in many aspects of the industry and business, McCoy was named director of operations at Connecticut Electric.
Prior to joining Parallax Group, McCoy worked independently in product training and attending rallies to provide education to the end user. His legacy knowledge of Parallax components, coupled with his vast experience in the electrical and manufacturing industry, makes him a valuable asset to the Parallax team.
McCoy is also a member of the American Purchasing & Inventory Control Society, National Fire Protection Association, and International Association for Electrical Inspectors.
McCoy has been married to his wife Karen McCoy since 1982, and they have four children and six grandchildren. His goal with Parallax is to simplify mobile power systems at a level that has meaning and allows users to better utilize their equipment for greater personal enjoyment.
