The 2020 Pittsburgh RV Show has concluded its nine-day run at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center and announced that it attracted the largest opening weekend crowd in the show’s 53-year history.
“The 2020 Pittsburgh RV Show was a tremendous success for a number of reasons including a very strong economy,” show producer Rob Young. “Sales were strong among the 14 participating dealers and 100-plus booth exhibitors on site, and it looks to be another great year for the RV industry in our area.”
Young attributed the record crowd attending Jan. 11-12 to favorable conditions concerning timing and temperature.
“The quality of this show consistently attracts individuals who are eager to travel from throughout the tri-state region,” said Young. “But this year in particular our opening weekend coincided with two unusual factors: no Steelers playoff game to watch and spring-like weather in the middle of winter. As a result, RV lovers filled the convention center like never before.”
Plans are already underway for next year’s Original Pittsburgh RV Show, which will return to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in January 2021.
