RecPro announced an exclusive partnership with Houghton Leisure Products to offer a new line of 48-volt RV air conditioners.
The new air conditioners are designed to meet needs of modern RVs with efficient heating and cooling in one device while running on 48-volt power.
RecPro said it had intended to pursue a line of 12-volt RV air conditioners. However, this idea was quickly scrapped due to the disadvantages of having an AC that runs on 12-volt power and the advantages of using 48-volt power instead. One particular advantage of using 48-volt power over 12-volt power is its significantly lower amp draw.
“These specially crafted low-profile air conditioners have been meticulously designed from the ground up to cater to the needs of RV enthusiasts everywhere,” the company said. “With their innovative engineering, they not only draw less power compared to traditional units but also operate with whisper-quiet precision, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed environment. Additionally, these advanced units offer dependable temperature control, allowing you to create the perfect climate inside your RV, regardless of the external conditions.”
The units not only provide powerful cooling performance and heating capabilities but also operate on low amp draw, making them highly energy efficient. This feature allows for extended usage in various climates, whether seeking relief from scorching heat or warmth in colder conditions. RecPro and Houghton also prioritized noise reduction in the design of these air conditioners.
