Regency RV has moved into full production of its 2019 Ultra Brougham Class B-plus motorhome for nationwide distribution. The new Ultra Brougham is built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter platform, and the first floorplan will be a single slide-out Murphy bed configuration.
“We first exhibited our Ultra Brougham prototype at the Tampa show earlier this year to dealers and consumers,” said Dymon Farrer, Regency RV national sales manager. “Since then we have been busy getting feedback from our dealer network and our Xalta owners that have been waiting for our B-plus.”
Farrer stated that the feedback resulted in major improvements and upgrades to the original concept coach and until then the company was not ready to go into full production of the Ultra Brougham.
Farrer said that with a growing dealer body that recently reached more than 20 outlets nationwide, the new Ultra Brougham would allow its existing Xalta Class B dealers a sell-up price point into the Regency Class B-plus space and open up other higher end dealers as well.
“Because of our high level of quality, since Regency products are built one-at-a-time and not on an assembly line, we are seeing interest from many exclusive dealerships that specialize in high-end, Class A motorhomes,” said Farrer. “Quite a few of our current customers were previous owners of Prevost and Newmar Class A coaches that have downsized to a Regency.”
“Regency is attracting the prestige buyer, which is the Airstream buyer,” said Jason Kimbrell, principal of La Mesa RV nationwide. “Regency is well positioned to compete in that space. This buyer wants a nicer unit with more custom features and is willing to pay a high premium to get a quality coach.”
