Reservations Being Taken for RVI Leadership Prayer Breakfast

The RVI Leadership Prayer Breakfast will be held from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville during the National Trade Show. Companies and individuals interested in attending the Prayer Breakfast can do so with the following reservation levels of individual ($17) and table ($160).

During the breakfast, Davey Blackburn will share the tragic story about his wife’s murder, and how he discovered that “God has a bigger purpose in our pain.”

In 2011, Blackburn and his wife Amanda picked up their life in South Carolina and moved to Indianapolis to form Resonate Church in the hopes of bringing new life to a city and reach people who didn’t know God. The husband and wife, who were also best friends, held each other up, and their calling began to find momentum.

Then in 2015, Blackburn came home from the gym one morning to find his wife, who was pregnant, with three gunshot wounds sustained during a home burglary gone terribly wrong. Their 15-month-old son was safe in his bedroom just down the hallway, but Amanda passed away the next day.

The story hit headlines across the country, and the months following Amanda’s death brought Blackburn to the lowest level in his life.

But he said that God spoke comfort to him, and Blackburn decided to turn it all into something good, just as his wife restored furniture from trash to treasure.

He took that mindset and adopted it for his mantra: “Nothing Is Wasted.”
