Reyco Granning Electric Vehicle Solutions (RGevs) has announced the availability of a new drive axle air suspension for the commercial electric vehicle market. It is a new member of the WorkMaster product family and variant of the successful model 240AR. This new 240AR-EV was developed specifically to package with e-axles.
Low-profile frame brackets leave room for body mounts or fifth wheel angles. The curved spring beam eliminates the traditional lower air spring mount to increase ground clearance, reduce weight, and accommodate a range of frame widths, according to the company.
The 240AR-EV has a GAWR range of 17,000 pounds to 23,000 pounds and is suitable for single- or tandem-drive axle arrangements. Ride heights range from 8.5 inches to 10 inches. It is ideally suited for on-highway truck, tractor, motorhome, or bus applications.
“This is the latest product to come out of the Electric Vehicle Solutions business unit,” said Drake Sarault, VP of sales. “It further cements our commitment to the future of heavy vehicle propulsion.”
The 240AR-EV will be on display in cooperation with Allison Transmission at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in Long Beach, Calif., from April 23-26. Visit booth 1447 to see the product mounted to the new AXE e-axle by Allison Transmission.
