The Fairfax, Va.-based Mike Molino RV Learning Center has launched a new RV Service Writer/Advisor Online Course that will provide these critical front-line dealership personnel with the foundational skills they need to create loyal customers.
The self-study course includes instruction on:
- Improving customer satisfaction
- Organizing and managing appointments and workflow
- Generating additional services and revenue
- Coordinating with technicians and other departments
- Administrating and operating effectively
- Building trust and rapport
The course content is based on a comprehensive RV service writer/advisor job and task analysis developed by The Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment in conjunction with RV industry subject matter experts organized by the RV Learning Center. Instructional designers at Indiana-based CVC Communications created the course which is organized into nine modules and covers more than 40 competency areas.
The center said the course should take most people about five hours to complete and concludes with a timed, comprehensive final assessment that will help service/advisors to achieve professional certification through the RV Learning Center, for a separate fee. Existing certified service writers/advisors and parts specialists will earn five continuing education credit hours toward recertification upon completion. Learners have until Dec. 31, 2020 to complete the course and print a certificate of completion. The per-person course registration fee is $150.
