Genesis Products is one of 19 wood manufacturing firms from Indiana have been included on the 2023 FDMC 300 list, which ranks the largest cabinet, furniture, millwork, store fixture, office/contract and component producers in North America, according to a report in the Goshen News.
“Indiana is proud to be ranked as a top producer for so many wood products and to supply a large number of Hoosiers with good paying hardwood manufacturing jobs,” said Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, Indiana’s Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, according to the News. “Wood is a renewable resource and provides a stability and quality to furniture like no other.”
Goshen-based Genesis Products makes wood panels, wood interior products and other wood products for leading manufacturers in the RV and manufactured housing industry, among others. The paper said in 2022, the company’s sales totaled and estimated $380 million. The company operates 14 manufacturing plants across the U.S. totaling 1.5 million square feet and employs 1,150 people.
This past year has been an eventful one for Genesis Products, starting with last March when it broke ground on a new 78,000-square-foot plant in Goshen. In August the company acquired the countertop division of Native Hardwoods, and said that will double its production capacity of solid surface countertops for the RV market. In December company acquired the Virginia-based drawer-making specialist BHK of America, and just this month it closed on its purchase of Funder America, which makes thermally fused melamine (TFL) panels, laminated panels, components and panel processing.
