The RV Technician Association of America (RVTAA) and the National RV Inspectors Association (NRVIA) today announced that members can now attain health insurance benefits through the respective organizations.
Available through OCI Services, a Nebraska company, the benefits include individual and family health insurance, short-term health coverage, dental, vision and Medicare plans. Policies are customized to a person’s specific needs, said Gilda Mitchell, director of membership benefits for RVTAA and NRVIA. For example, some members may want maternity coverage, while others do not.
“We have been working for a very long time on options for health insurance benefits for our members,” Mitchell said. “This is just one more advantage to being a member of RVTAA or NRVIA.”
Health insurance coverage is currently available in 30 states where inspectors and technicians have established businesses, but the associations are working with OCI to expand coverage to other states, Mitchell said.
RVTAA or NRVIA members can apply for health insurance benefits directly from the membership portal for either association. Members simply provide some basic information, and an agent will call back within 48 hours to create a specialized coverage plan, Mitchell explained.
The health benefits available through OCI are separate from the business, automotive and professional liability insurance which has been available to member technicians and inspectors for several years through the Miller Monroe Farrell Insurance Agency.
