The Canadian RV sector thrives on fresh perspectives, autonomous thinking and individuals who aren’t afraid to forge their own paths. To honor these trailblazers, the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada is inviting nominations for its George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award.
Whether you are an industry colleague, a supplier, a manufacturer or a grateful customer — anyone who has known a nominee professionally for at least two years can submit a nomination.
To maintain the prestige of this honor, this award is not necessarily presented every year, RVDA of Canada said. It is reserved exclusively for moments when an early-career professional truly redefines industry excellence and demonstrates outstanding promise for continuing leadership.

While nominations are technically open year-round, the selection committee requires ample time to thoroughly vet applications, verify details and review supporting letters, RVDA of Canada said.
To ensure the committee has sufficient time to evaluate your candidate for the current review cycle ahead of upcoming regional meetings, RVDA of Canada strongly encourages submitting your nomination during its Priority Review Window (now through early autumn). Late submissions will automatically roll over into the next evaluation period.
What the Committee Looks For
The selection committee evaluates nominees based only on the information submitted across five core fields of assessment:
- Customer Service: Delivering consistent customer satisfaction, loyalty and operational excellence
- Impact: Creating significant impact in achieving a strategic goal on a business, community, industry or national scale
- Innovation: Creative uses of new knowledge, ideas, resources or technology to solve problems
- Initiative: Activities through work or volunteering that highlight personal growth and leadership potential
- Social Responsibility: Contributions that directly lead to the betterment of society
Note: Nominees must be consistently employed by an RVDA member in good standing, cannot be the owner/acting principal of the business, and self-nominations are not accepted.
Nominators do not need to be a member of the RV Dealers Association.

- Your Recommendation: A summary (minimum 400 words) detailing your nominee’s achievements based on the criteria above
- A Letter of Support: At least one supporting letter from a customer, industry peer or community member
