In recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to the RV Industry Association (RVIA)’s finance department, Wayne Atkins has been promoted to vice president of finance, the RVIA announced in its newsletter Jan. 16.
“Since 2019, Wayne has directed the day-to-day operations of the Association’s Finance team. During the past four years, Wayne has proven to be a trusted and respected business partner,” said RVIA president and CEO Craig Kirby. “Wayne has excelled in managing the financial operation of all our business entities across the RV Industry Association, Go RVing and the RV Technical Institute. He has helped build trust in financial oversight and vastly improved transparency into the Association’s entire financial operation.”
“Working at RV Industry Association the past seven years has been a highlight in my career. In my 30 years in accounting, I have seen many challenges within an organization and related industry, but I have never witnessed the unity that is apparent in the RV industry and at the RV Industry Association,” said Atkins. “I have the pleasure to work with a great team of forward-thinking people that collaborate well together to bring solutions and positive change to an amazing industry. I am grateful and appreciative of the recognition, and I look forward to the new adventures and challenges as we continue working together as a whole driving the RV industry forward!”
With offices in the Washington, D.C., area, and Elkhart, Indiana, the RVIA is the leading trade voice of the $140 billion dollar RV industry, representing approximately 495 manufacturers and component and aftermarket suppliers who together produce 98% of all RVs made in the United States, and approximately 60% of RVs produced worldwide.
