The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) was among the 2024 Aftermarket Conference attendees, discussing their Level 3 specialty curriculum with suppliers, who provide the course to interested techs.
For technicians that have completed the Level 1 and Level 2 trainings, Level 3 training offers supplier training on specific types of components. Level 3 training leads to increased skill sets where technicians can perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on those systems and components. There are 5 areas of specialty training technicians can pursue: Electrical, Chassis, Electronics, Appliance and Slideout.
Using the knowledge provided by the Institute’s curriculum, suppliers often train RV dealership technicians on aftermarket products. As a result, when consumers visit a dealership, their questions about specific products are answered quickly and effectively. This process ensures a better overall experience for RVers.
During the conference, the RV Technical Institute’s staff spoke with suppliers about the Level 3 provider approval process, requested additional training, and gave information on how suppliers can contribute to the Institute’s mission of training service techs.
The 2025 Aftermarket Conference will take place Aug. 11-14 in San Antonio, Texas.
