Michigan’s Selvius Family RV Group acquired the former Quality Products RV of Plainwell, Mich.
The newly owned dealership reopened in August under the name RV–Zoo.
Quality Products RV was owned since its founding in 1968 by the Doxey family. When they decided to retire, they reached out to the Selvius Group.
The addition of RV-Zoo brings an eighth separate Michigan RV dealership under the Selvius Group umbrella. Each of these dealerships maintains separate leadership teams and corporate identities, while operating as “fierce but friendly” competitors, the company said.
RV-Zoo continues Quality Products’ legacy as the oldest Jayco dealership in Michigan, as well as one of the oldest in the United States, the company said. While RV-Zoo will no longer sell or service lawn equipment and snowmobiles as Quality Products did, RV enthusiasts will appreciate RV-Zoo’s increased focus on Jayco, CrossRoads and Flagstaff RVs. In fact, 25 acres of prime interstate property has already been acquired in anticipation of future growth in the Kalamazoo area.
Ryan Madden, a longtime Selvius Group employee, has been appointed RV-Zoo store manager and brings 18 years of RV sales experience to the table. Brother Russ Madden will focus on parts and service areas at the dealership. The Selvius Family RV Group said it is excited to build on the foundation built by the entire Doxey family, extending the group’s reach to better serve the greater Kalamazoo RV market.
