The RV Women’s Alliance, in partnership with Purdue University, announced the topics for leadership seminars planned during the organization’s inaugural Education Symposium this fall in Chicago, taking place Oct. 11-12.
Attendees will take a deep dive into effective coaching, communicating, and listening during the two-part seminar, followed up by an inclusion, diversity, equity and access seminar.
“Great leaders create great leaders and that is the environment we are looking to foster with this first education symposium,” said RV Women’s Alliance President Susan Carpenter. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Purdue University to bring top notch education that is targeted at building better leaders. The symposium is ideal for those in leadership roles who are looking to expand their leadership skills and those next-generation leaders who are looking to really expand their leadership skills.”
The event, which is open to anyone in the RV industry, includes the workshops presented by Purdue University, a keynote speaker and plenty of networking opportunities including an awards dinner and a cocktail reception.
“What sets this education event apart from others is the dual seminar tracks which are based on the same topics, but one track is tailored for current leaders while the other is tailored for future leaders,” Carpenter said. “This approach allows attendees from all levels within companies and organizations to receive training in areas that are crucial to the leaders of today and tomorrow.”
The symposium Oct. 11 and 12 will be at The Renaissance at Schaumberg in Chicago. A welcome reception and happy hour will be held for early arrivals the evening of Oct. 10. Sign up for access to early bird ticket sales here.

IDEA – Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access
Companies are focusing more on the critical role and value the workforce plays in the success of their organizations. Leaders and employees need to recognize that they all have to work together as a diverse, cohesive team to achieve top-level organizational performance. Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) plays a role in helping us work more effectively as a team and thus as an organization. This course helps you understand how our brains work when it comes to unconscious biases and how to overcome those biases to be a more productive team.
Sponsorship opportunities are available to fit any budget. To find out more about how you can sponsor the event, contact RVWA Managing Director Jessica Rider at jrider@rvwa.org.
