Attendee registration is now open for RVX: The RV Experience.
RVX will feature the largest concentration of RV manufacturers, suppliers and dealers in the world.
The event, scheduled for March 12 to 14, 2019, at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, Utah, will be the only event where products are launched and revealed to RV dealers and national consumer media outlets.
RVX will be the official “Kick-off to Camping Season” platform, unveiling the industry’s newest and best-selling products, live, in the first-ever “Reveal.” This ground-breaking event will showcase RV products based on Go RVing research and data into consumer lifestyle segments.
Dealers in attendance will be among the first to see the products revealed and learn techniques designed to help them to identify new consumers back home. On the back of the RVX platform, Go RVing will be putting together a multi-million-dollar media buy to drive extensive attention and consumer interest in RV products and the lifestyle to millions of Americans, just as camping season begins, and only RV dealers in attendance at RVX will take-away the tools needed to engage with these specific consumer segments and convert them into sales.
RVX is designed to give manufacturers and dealers time for in-depth product knowledge discussions, and an opportunity to place orders and set inventory, right at the start of the busy sales season. Join manufacturers like Thor, Erwin Hymer, Freightliner, Grand Design, Forest River, Winnebago, Newmar, Tiffin, Airstream, Jayco, Lance, Travel Lite, Spartan Chassis, Gulf Stream, GM Fleet, Athens and more than 300 suppliers including ASA, Dometic, Lippert, Furrion, TH2, Thetford, Truma and Wells Fargo in the re-imagined product hall.
“Dealers will not want to miss the education and tools that will be presented at RVX: The RV Experience,” said Liz Crawford, RV Industry Association senior vice president of trade shows and events. “There will be extensive opportunities to educate the market on consumer trends and empower RV dealers to reach new consumer groups and grow sales.”
One of the industry highlights of RVX kicks off when eight RV service technicians will showcase their skills as they compete in a winner-take-all to find the best tech in the country. The 2019 RV Technical Institute Top Tech Challenge, slated for 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13.
Held in front of an excited industry audience full of dealers, manufacturers, suppliers and the media, the Top Tech Challenge will highlight the industry-wide need for skilled labor, and how we can work together to bring in more qualified technicians to the industry. These technicians will aid us in helping improve the consumer RV experience. The winner will go home with a $10,000 cash prize to be shared by the tech and their dealership, as well as the title of Top Tech Champion!
“The RV Technical Institute Top Tech Challenge represents the industry’s continued commitment to providing quality service to consumers,” said Liz Crawford, RV Industry Association senior vice president of trade shows and events. “We’re excited to showcase the exemplary work from service techs in the business, while having some fun as well. We’re also very excited to welcome back our Top Tech winner from last year – Brandon Galbreath to defend his crown.”
To apply, techs must certify that they are currently employed as an RV Certified Technician and have a minimum of five years of experience. Submissions will be scored based on each technician’s completed application, years of experience, most recent RVDA/RVIA Certified Technician Exam score, and certification expiration date. The seven applicants with the highest scores will be chosen as the final contestants. In addition to the cash prize, the winner will receive marketing materials to display at their dealership that recognizes their achievements, as well as promotional content for their website and social media platforms.
Think you have the chops to be the Top Tech in the RV industry?
Nominations are open now through November 30 to become one of the service techs. The final competitors will be notified no later than Jan. 7, 2019.
