SmartPlug to Debut Two New Products in Miami
SmartPlug Systems plans to debut its new dual coax and coax-ethernet inlets at the Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 14-18, at booth C349.
The new inlets use SmartPlug’s asymmetrical stainless-steel housing, and the cutout size and hole pattern match industry standards. Internally, the devices utilize the same rugged, weatherproof design and quality materials as the company’s shore power models. Two versions are available, one with dual F-type male coax connectors, the other with one coax and one female Ethernet port.
The SmartPlug system replaces AC shore power connectors. The system plugs straight in and provide 20 times the metal-to-metal contact than traditional twist-style designs, according to the company. This provides maximum electrical transfer, resulting in a reduced likelihood of resistance-generated overheating, a leading cause of fires. They’re available in 30 and 50 amps.
