SmartPlug Systems has expanded its manufacturing footprint by more than 400 percent, a result of increasing consumer demand and preparation for its expanding product line. Its corporate address remains unchanged.
Along with the added space, SmartPlug’s new facility is certified by Intertek ETL for the manufacturing of its patented products. It retains its Canadian CSA, Europe CE and US ETL certifications. The expansion provides the means to dramatically escalate its in-house production work and speed to market.
“This expansion provides the flexibility we need as SmartPlug moves into its exciting – and very near – future,” said Tony Barber, SmartPlug Systems CEO. “We’re setting the stage to accommodate product launches we have in play, with the same level of quality our products are known for.”
SmartPlug Systems designs and manufactures safe alternatives to traditional twist-type AC shore power connections. Its 30- and 50-amp plugs, inlets, cordsets and adapters help reduce electrical resistance and overheating – common causes of boat and vehicle fires.
