Leisure vehicle technology specialist, Teleco, has launched its Extra Pro Lithium Ion batteries developed specifically for use in leisure vehicles.
The system is 70 percent lighter, is faster charging and has a longer life – up to 5,000 charging cycles. In addition, it can be installed in any position and area of a leisure vehicle, according to the company. It is now also enhanced with Bluetooth connectivity, to receive information such as the charge level, voltage and current on the Teleco app.
The Extra Pro batteries can also be connected to a Teleco Hub, which, thanks to an internal SIM card can communicate with the app via the phone network to provide information on the batteries wherever the owner is.
A wall-mounted control panel is now also available with a display connected via cable. In addition to the charge level reading, there is also a switch to activate/deactivate storage mode.
Teleco said these batteries store a much greater quantity of energy than other batteries of the same weight and size.
Teleco has also improved its PhoneBoosterVan with a new antenna that boosts the mobile network signal to provide an improved connection to 4G or LTE networks. The device was designed in collaboration with Huaptec, the Chinese mobile technology provider.
The new antenna has abandoned the classic shark fin design and adopted a tower shape to offer a greater range of reception and better RF shielding between internal and external antennas. The system provides a 4G hotspot inside the motorhome or campervan.
