Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, a manufacturer and supplier of OE and aftermarket tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), has announced that Sean Lannoo, its sales technical training specialist, will join a team of TPMS experts at a special TPMS seminar during the 2018 SEMA Show called, “TPMS at 10.”
The educational event, which is sponsored by Tire Industry Association (TIA), will focus on “Understanding Original Equipment TPMS.” It will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 30, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, S115.
This session will focus on various OE manufacturers and how the TPMS sensors communicate with the vehicle. It will identify some of the necessary procedures and guidelines for maintaining the TPMS and the steps that technicians must take to ensure it functions properly.
Noted speakers for the event also include: Matthew White, director of tire service at TIA; Mark J Becker, assistant general manager at Pacific Manufacturing Ohio; and W. Devon Rippetoe, senior technical service and training rep at Sensata/Schrader Performance Sensors.
Lannoo is a key contributor to Continental’s industry leading aftermarket TPMS program. He travels extensively to provide hands-on technical training at conferences and seminars across the country.
Lannoo has also been a speaker at several educational and training conferences. His dedication to the tire industry has made him well known throughout the tire market. He has conducted more than 300 training seminars and trained more than 5,000 technicians, part counter personnel, instructors, and students on TPMS technology and service.
Lannoo is a TIA-certified automotive tire service instructor and holds three ASE certifications.
