California-based Trim-Lok has opened Trim-Lok Midwest, a new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehousing space in Elkhart, Indiana.
The new facility on the eastern border of that city provides shorter transit lanes for raw material and finished goods, and allows for better management of freight for both the company and its customers, it said. The company said shipment times to customers east of the Rocky Mountains will be cut drastically thanks to the new location.
“Trim-Lok Midwest is a critical component of our ability to support our customers, and especially support the growth that we have experienced since we first expanded into Elkhart in 2015,” said Dan Whitener, vice president and chief operating officer. “We are making significant investments into equipment to increase our manufacturing capacity, and we are excited to not only grow our physical footprint, but grow our workforce and capability set.”
