Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.), a global supplier of automatic tire inflations systems for commercial vehicles, completed the acquisition of Truck Systems Technologies (TST), a supplier of tire pressure-monitoring systems (TPMS) for RVs.
The way TST products are brought to that market has evolved under P.S.I.’s leadership, the company announced, by integrating its data-driven standard operating procedures into the TST organization.
P.S.I.’s SOP’s for quality control (receiving, in-process and shipping), customer service, product rationalization, streamlining distribution channels, pricing structure standardization, and overall process controls are now in place at TST.
RV owners, manufacturers and distributors dealing with the new TST can expect to see:
- More support for RV dealers
- More inventory available so parts are more broadly available
- Quick response to customer feedback. For instance, a formerly separate SKU part number (repeater signal booster) is now included in every kit (customer-driven change).
- Continuous improvement: An example is TST’s flow through sensor, which used to be made up of two parts. It is now one piece, which cuts down on breakage.
