Vatrer Power has introduced the Vatrer 12V 300Ah Lithium Battery with Self-Heating Function and Cooling Fan, a LiFePO4 deep-cycle unit designed for RVs, vans and off-grid systems. The battery stores 3,840Wh and carries a 300A continuous discharge rating, enough to support a properly matched 3,840W inverter for microwaves, induction cooktops and air conditioning, Vatrer Power said in a recent release.
RVers weighing higher continuous output typically compare this model against Vatrer’s earlier 200A self-heating 300Ah unit, the company said. The 300A board raises continuous output to 3,840W and adds a 600A peak for three seconds, headroom intended to absorb the startup surge of air conditioner compressors and water pumps. The earlier model keeps a simpler fan-free enclosure and a lower maximum inverter match of 2,560W, which covers refrigerators, lighting and smaller inverters, while the fan-cooled unit targets inverters rated 3,000W and above.
Built with Grade-A LiFePO4 cells, the battery pairs a 300A BMS with 300A continuous charge and discharge and a 600A peak for 3 seconds. A dedicated fan moves air across the board during extended high-current discharge so sustained output does not have to be throttled back. A heating film warms the cells above 32 F before charging begins, and the BMS halts charging below 32 F and discharging below -4 F to prevent cold-weather damage, Vatrer said. The unit is rated for more than 5,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, pairs with Bluetooth monitoring through the Vatrer app and expands up to 4S4P for 51.2V 1200Ah systems. The enclosure measures 15.51 × 8.27 × 11.69 inches, weighs 71.65 pounds, uses M8 terminals and is certified to CE, FCC, UN38.3 and RoHS standards with IP65 protection.
Fast replenishment is built in, Vatrer said: an 850W solar array with an MPPT controller recharges the battery from 0 to 100 percent in about 4.5 peak sun hours, or about 7.5 hours with a 14.6V 40A LiFePO4 charger. The recommended charge current is 60A (0.2C).
