Veteran technician and shop foreman Ken Barnes will help direct service shops to the “promised land of efficiency” during a workshop at the 2023 RV Dealers Convention/Expo in the fixed operations track.
The RV Dealers Association (RVDA)’s event will take place Nov. 6-10 at Paris Las Vegas.
From 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9, Barnes will investigate “Proven Strategies to Decrease RECT and Improve Technician Productivity.” This workshop will cover the steps from start to finish on proven ways to decrease Repair Event Cycle Time (RECT) while improving the customer experience. In addition, Barnes will review ways to improve technician productivity and their satisfaction.

Step-by-step processes that will streamline their RECT plus improve their customer and technician satisfaction
Techniques for increasing technician productivity and gross profits
Barnes is director of sales for DealerPRO RV Training. He spent 25 years in fixed operations departments, working for franchised auto dealers, first as a technician, then shop foreman and ultimately fixed operations director for a large dealer organization overseeing 300 employees, grossing more than $800,000 per month in fixed ops.
