Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Veurink’s RV Center has announced the recent expansion of its dealership to a second location. On April 23, the dealer acquired Preferred RV Inc. in Newaygo, Mich., located about 45 miles north of Grand Rapids.
General Manager Matt Veurink said, “Our company has grown a lot over the last several years, so we are expanding to better serve the West Michigan community. With the growth we’re experiencing, it was the right time, the right move and the right place. We were already actively involved with the Newaygo community, so we definitely liked that aspect of the acquisition.”
Preferred RV has been a staple in the Newaygo community for more than 20 years with a full line sales, service, parts, storage and propane. With only about half of the 7-acre property currently being utilized, Veurink plans to grow the smaller dealership to a medium-sized dealership. It will offer customers a larger selection of inventory as well as expanding service operations and possibly adding additional winter storage. The dealership has already nearly doubled the number of employees since the acquisition and promoted a couple of their well-deserving Grand Rapids employees to assist in the expansion of the Newaygo location.
Matt Veurink added, “We’re excited for this next adventure with our family business as we continue growing and giving back to the community. We have renamed the business in Newaygo to ‘Veurink’s RV Center’ and are continuing our slogan of ‘We Keep America RVing!’” For more details on the recent expansion, watch the video below.
