Winnebago Industries has appointed Maria Blase to its board of directors, who will sit on the Audit and the Nominating and Governance committees. Winnebago further announced that it has temporarily increased the size of its board of directors from eight to nine.
Current Board Member Marti Rodamaker has also decided that she will not seek re-election at the 2018 Winnebago Industries annual shareholder meeting in December.
Blase is president of the fluid management, material handling and power tools businesses of Ingersoll Rand, a leader in creating comfortable, sustainable and efficient environments. She has 25 years of experience with diverse industries including transport, buildings, services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and mining. After joining Ingersoll Rand in 1999, she was promoted to various global financial roles, including CFO of the climate solutions sector.
“Maria is a highly-talented executive with a vast amount of public company experience both in financial and portfolio leadership roles,” said Michael Happe, Winnebago president and CEO. “Her unique global perspectives will be valuable as we work to take Winnebago Industries to new levels of growth and profitability. We welcome Maria to the board and look forward to the contributions she will make to our future.”
Blase is a CPA and a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, where she received both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in business administration and accounting.
“We would like to thank Marti Rodamaker for her service and contributions as a director since joining the board in 2012,” said Robert Chiusano, Winnebago’s chairman of the board. “Marti’s financial and leadership experience has helped guide us during our transformation into a larger, more profitable outdoor lifestyle product manufacturer.”
