The owner of the RV shop, Madison also works on social media, takes pictures and helps with the marketing, runs the front desk and talks to customers, answers phone calls and emails and more. Coming to the RV industry with no experience, Madison now has multiple certifications and wears multiple hats daily to keep the operations flowing.
As co-owner of Nomadic Camper & RV Repair, Madison completes all administrative requirements and financial responsibilities to keep the business running and oversees scheduling, back of house, front of house, accounting, sending out ROs, assigning jobs, hiring and firing and so forth.
As a strong woman who is a multibusiness owner, she shows that women can be successful in all fields.
Madison is has trained and been certified with Dometic, Aqua Hot, Airxcel, Suburban and Lippert. She attends many RV industry conferences and is well respected and known for dedication to a positive customer experience.
Madison exemplifies multitasking — working alongside her husband and sometimes bringing her 11-month-old to work. One nominator says she is a prime example of the ultimate female leader and has strong attention to detail.
When Madison and her husband started their business, it was a mobile service and repair only. Since then, it has grown into a brick-and-mortar business, and revenue has grown 87%, one nominator says.
Madison is known for diffusing heated situations and has had a positive effect on the company’s culture as well.
One nominator says she is always helping others and guiding them in the correct direction. She is a mentor to women in leadership in her area. She is also a part of shop fix academy and sets an example for what women are capable of.
She met the challenge of being the only female in the industry in her area with a positive spirit, passion and a love for learning. She overcame a tough challenge when her front desk employee quit and Madison had to return to work just give days after giving birth. Her nominator says that when some male customers don’t initially respect her because she is female, she respectfully turns that around by showing her knowledge and experience.
In addition to running Nomadic full time, she also has her own photography business, Memories By Madison, and she is in real estate.
Madison is an incredible human being and has a genuine love for helping people. She has a big heart for making sure families make memories. That’s why she does photography, to capture family memories; and real estate, to find homes for families to grow; and RV repair for the families that make memories on the go.
Madison’s advice for up-and-coming women in the RV industry:
What I’ve realized since entering the RV industry in 2021 is that many people still don’t expect to hear a woman on the other end of the phone who can actually help them diagnose or solve their problem. A lot of times when I answer the phone, customers hear my voice and immediately ask, “Can I speak to a technician?” My response is always the same: “I can help you with that.”
Women absolutely belong in this industry. We are just as capable of learning the systems, the technical knowledge and the hands-on skills that the RV field requires. In fact, many women thrive here because we bring strong attention to detail, communication skills and a willingness to keep learning.
If you’re a woman considering the RV industry, don’t let outdated stereotypes discourage you. Instead, let them motivate you. Every time someone doubts you is an opportunity to prove what you know.
Get certified. Ask questions. Stay curious. The more knowledge you gain, the more confident you become — and knowledge truly is power in this field.
The RV industry needs skilled, passionate people, and women have just as much to contribute as anyone else.

This is truly an incredible honor. I’m so thankful to be recognized as an RV PRO Women in Business Honoree. There are so many outstanding women who have been featured in this before me, and it means a lot to now be included among them.
My journey hasn’t always been easy. Being a woman in this industry comes with its own challenges, and building a career in it at just 27 years old has added another layer to that. But those challenges have pushed me to grow, work harder and prove that women absolutely belong in the RV industry.
My goal is to help empower more women to step into this field because it’s an industry that continues to grow and needs passionate, capable people.
Alongside my work in the RV industry, I also run my photography business, Memories by Madison, full-time while helping operate Nomadic Camper & RV Repair. Which works hand in hand for all the social media parts of my job I get to rope into Nomadic! One thing I’ve learned through balancing it all is that if you truly want something, you find a way to make it happen.
